The Oscuro Quintet is Philadelphia’s tango music ensemble praised for its original and engaging interpretations of traditional and new tango. Since its formation in 2006, the international and eclectic group of musicians has thrilled dancers and listeners alike from the dance floor to the Great Hall of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Each event is subject to change and/or cancellation due to severe weather, which will be posted in the park. Friends of Gold Star Park are an all-volunteer, neighbor-run organization with funding from the Philadelphia Activities Grant.

Satisfy your green thumb during the hot weather, by helping water the plants in the park! Some of the plantings are new and need a bit of water during rain events to grow, thrive, and establish for many seasons to come.

The GetArounds re-boot the beloved new wave hits of the 1980’s for the modern listener by performing hits by the likes of The GoGos, The Pretenders, and ‘Til Tuesday, as acoustic lounge music, featuring cello, guitar, hand percussion, and chanteuse vocals …”Then Music for Now People”
